Commercial Consulting

Prentice Consulting’s commercial consulting practice is lead by Jeremy Prentice and supported by Sarah McAree.

Jeremy’s strong commercial approach to problem solving, his governance experience and leadership characteristics allow him to provide clients with assistance that extends beyond purely legal briefs. His clients have endorsed his strong commercial acumen over his years of legal practice. He draws upon his affinity with commercial structuring to accommodate the cash flow and debt service characteristics of specific requirements to meet client needs. He also brings a detailed understanding of the risk characteristics of commercial arrangements and is adept at identifying solutions to appropriately manage and mitigate risks without detracting from the commercial opportunity. His focus on team work and organisational structure is heavily influenced by his experiences as a naval officer earlier in his career.

Jeremy draws upon his experience gained from numerous prominent leadership roles. These include:

  • Chairman of the Infrastructure Association of Queensland

  • Chairman of the Brisbane Bullets Advisory Board - relaunched 2016

  • Board member of the Queensland Museum South Bank Advisory Board

  • Australian Board of the international law firm K&L Gates

  • Equity partner at national and international law firms where he led practice and industry groups

  • Risk and Governance committee member at St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace

  • Naval Officer, Royal Australian Navy.

Sarah McAree is an experienced corporate lawyer who is currently a director, and the chair of the Finance and Risk Committee, of La Boite Theatre. She recently completed the Governance Foundations for not-for-profit directors AICD’s course and was accredited by AIPM as certified practicing project practitioner.
